Parties MUST GO!

by: Jamoca

Mon Mar 08, 2010 at 20:15:47 PM EST

In the wake of another contemptible and reprehensible selection of a chosen person by a major political party for a congressional office in this Commonwealth that was so rigged and so staged that even professional wrestling comes off as being more "real", I have to take a moment to once again raise up the banner of why political parties need to become as extinct as the dinosaurs, because they have become the new dinosaurs.

I will take my opportunities, as they come, to continue to harp on the notion that political parties, especially the major ones, are far out of touch with what quality representation should be about and don't want any competition from anybody at all that they don't personally endorse and who doesn't have the inside track with their top selecting people.

This being said, people of Pennsylvania, and for that matter, America, wake the heck up and realize what idiotic kinds of horse manure you are being fed by the two major parties and for that matter even smaller political movements.  You may think you are part of something wonderful and great and that you are "proud to be a (insert party affiliation here) and all that schtick, and you know what, so was I for a damn long time.  Until I realized just what kind of hacked together, conspiring and contemptible framework that most every party out there, especially the Dems  & G-NO-P, have in place to make sure that not only does no other party stand a chance in hell in any race beyond maybe tax collector, but that your part in their party process is just to be a voting cog and a voice of support for their chosen leaders.  Why should you settle for this, why should anyone settle for this, time and again.  What is more, it might not be so bad to swallow, having these chosen candidates, but when they keep getting uglier and more corrupt and more incredulous and more ridiculous of those who are selected.  Then you should be really asking yourself why the hell you are member of that party, but even more why even have a political party.  What are they good for, besides wasting a lot of money, a lot of time, and a lot of opportunities to make this country great.  Politics should be about negotiation, but these days politics has become about NO-GO-tiation.

Jamoca :: Parties MUST GO!
I am really truly, deeply, and intensely sick and tired of it and I know many of you are too, but until you are willing to cast out and cast aside the causes and roots of our discontent in these bastard political parties, you and I will never be able to be the great country of proud citizens living in a more perfect union, working together to make the American dream possible for generations to come.

No, my fellow citizens, we need to rebuke their continued contempt of us and the process of democracy and the status quo that is choking us down and putting us everyday into more and more bondage to ideas and policies that only madmen and fools would embrace as solutions to a better tomorrow and a help for the mistakes of days gone by.

It is up to each of us, as people who should give a damn about our communities, for they are ours, whether we love them, hate them, or could care less about them, for whatever reason.  They are still our communities, our state, our nation, and not the everlasting prize of the special interests, the few, the chosen, the powerful, and the elite.  The more we keep rolling over and letting it go as it is and stay in the false belief that we can somehow change these massive nationwide political machine parties, the longer our time of being able to finally realize and come to bring true spirit back to America and vitality to a tired and worn down nation.

So, stand up and say NO MORE! to your political parties, cast aside your patronage of their misguided policies from all walks of political life and come back to being first, citizens of your communities and fellow Americans in the struggle to keep our future and nation alive and to bring healing to this land and each other.  Listen not to the promises of those who can sell you and your children's future short at the next available whim, but take your part and your place in making America great.  If we don't, sooner or later, and I think it will much sooner than we think it could, the future will become lost to us and to our children and the great experiment of America will come busting apart at the seams and what will remain will be nothing of what anyone would want to call a great nation or America.

Who is with me?  Who will have the courage to not only say I've had enough, but to act as well to reclaim democracy, peacefully but firmly from those who've bastardized and sold out to the highest or most desired bidders.  No more parties, just us, just people, that's democracy we can trust in.

Political parties are on a fast track to oblivion ... (0.00 / 0)
Jamoca...take heart...you have little need for organizing this anti-party revolt since both organizations on state and local levels are swiftly becoming redundant to the political process.
Political party endorsements will soon be seen by candidates as more in the way of a handicap or even as a curse than an advantage.
For example, Republican State Senator David Argall
from Schuylkill County, who is campaigning for Pennsylvania's 17th Congressional District seat presently held by Democrat Tim Holden:
Argall was officially endorsed by his own Schuylkill County Republican organization.
Nevertheless, on his website (www.argallforcongress.com) you will find no mention of this "valued" endorsement. Argall's three primary opponents are already benefiting since most voters in both parties (as well as independents) feel that the party hacks should keep their mouths shut and allow the voters to decide.
At this point, poor Argall himself might wish he had never been voted this dubious distinction...but in doing so he would then risk looking like an ingrate.
Thus, you are already winning.

...that may be true as you point out, but these days, even the smallest "movements" of people banded together under the causes of things like the "tea party" crowd or others, are still at the mercy of special interest driven lies, dogma, and trickery, and I take issue with any and every party, movement, and organized group.  To look at themselves, to understand where their positions come from, to challenge the notion that what they follow, what they believe in or what they want to see change in America is not also putting themselves, their families, their loves ones, and fellow Americans in peril or ruining the future of America, because they are perhaps under the indirect control of the very leeches and parasites that are sucking this country dry for their own sick amusement and pleasures.

The regular party political hacks are one thing, but even allegedly citizen-driven issue groups are still under some particular control, even if they're are somehow ignorant or unaware of the control.  It is more seedy, it is more deceit driven, it is more derived from media stories, spin, lies, with a splash of facts, and quite a bit more insidious than even party driven talking points.

The Rachel Maddown show highlighted last night on the 3/8/10 show the presence of these backdoor, hidden agenda influences that are put out there as grass roots efforts to engage people by seemingly "everyday people", but are being driven by people tied to professional organizations, who have ties back to either parties or special interests.  It is designed to denigrate, disrupt, dissolve the efforts of truly everyday Americans from getting a chance to participate in honest discussions and from coming to understand the truth as it really is with respect to the most cogent and important issues of the day.

Winning, perhaps in some respects, and for that I shall take some heart and hope, but there's a new, more insidious and dastardly strategy afoot by those who will practically do anything to avoid not only change, but to see their sun set on their power and control over this country and its people.
